Whats Crack'n Peoples!

As you know Thanksgiving is supposed to be a time for caring and it's when our families come together but what about the forgotten or the less fortunate? Well, yesterday the goodness in alot of people was visible in Virginia. Elton Brown has a annual "Give Back" to the community event that was a great success and your boy boy was happy to be involved. Oporation We Care is a organization created by (Ya Boyee) to help the homeless and disadvantaged. Which was the common denominator that brought myself and NFL superstar together. (Shouts to Eka Samone who also helped make this possible)

Me and Elton come from similar backgrounds and realize that for much is given much is required. GOD has blessed me to have a voice in the media threw my history in The Entertainment field him the same threw his football career. We both agreed that we have "GIVE BACK" and to make a difference because we know that there is most def a "NEED' for this in some of our forgotten urban communities. We both know the politics of being raised in the hood and how the homeless and less fortunate is looked upon. So we decided to combine our efforts to help create a better future!

Now yesterdays event was a huge success but "IT DOESN'T STOP THERE PEOPLE!" That's just "ONE DAY PEOPLE ARE HOMELESS 365 DAYS A YEAR!" We are NOT like those people who do a event once a year to clear their conscious then go back to the same routine and ignore these people. That is NOT the way to go nor does that change a thing we are not here to just band-aid the problems we face rather help by creating a more continued service to these people in need. Most homeless people do not want our pity just our concern (Their is a difference) They do NOT wish to be looked down on or upon their EVERYDAY situation is realistic enough!

We understand that their are a lot of good people and programs out but with budget cuts and little promotions and communication a ton of help falls threw the cracks. For example how many community events or grant have you found out "Last Minute" hell (including ours) what happens is that person(s) who care to make a difference but don't know how to reach the media wants to throw the event doesn't have the multi-media outlets while those that do don't wish to be involved unless they receive praise or payment. Hell I was even told by a person who I contacted for this event "I DON'T DO NOTHING FOR FREE" (Have we forgotten that for much is given much os required?) What type of selfish BS are we on these days? Thank GOD "EVERYONE" doesn't share that same view and that's why this event was a huge success!

At this time I would like to thank all of the bloggers who reposted this event. The twitters who Re-tweeted this event. Darknight Ent for hitting the streets and doing what they do best. All the radio personalities especially "THE BUDDA BROTHERS & 103.Jamz for always showing love. Love Potion Number 9th: The Hangover’ is an A side B side tape inspired by, with all beats borrowed from 9th Wonder. The A side is 8 songs that were released back in 2007 as a part of the original “Love Potion Number 9th”. After receiving lots of positive feedback, the B Side, “The Hangover” was recorded. Spanning from early 2008 to the summer of 2009, “The Hangover” is the result of releasing and gaining support from the original. Fly Gypsy's track record for quality music over the past few months hasn't failed to impress and their newest release, "You" feat. Tattiana Aqeel-de Oliveira, is as strong as ever. The track, the second single off their forthcoming Change For A Dollar EP is a departure from the upbeat sound that encapsulated the duo's first single, "2 Step," with producer Alexei Jendayi laying a more mellow instrumental for Kowboy Kom's vivid imagery. Lines like, "Close your eyes, let me describe for you a beautiful place/ Just use your mind and through the rhyme me and you can escape / The palm trees blue skies, it's a beautiful day" illustrate Kom's lyricism and ability with words. Not to be lost in the shuffle, the layers built around Kom's vocals are just as poignant - Alexei's production, a perfect blend of strings, horns, and percussion, builds initial emotion, while Tattiana's sultry voice captures the essence of the song as the chorus arrives.

Speaking on the writing process for "You", Kom says, "This was a rare instance of love at first 'write.' I knew this song was gonna be dope when I finished the first line. The imagery in each line flows together to create a vivid and sometimes abstract movie. When I heard the track I was convinced that we had something really special on our hands." Alexei, in charge of the production side of things chimed in with, "'You' almost didn’t happen. I thought the track was too pretty for the Fly Gypsy sound, but honestly I didn't fall in love with the song until I heard it on a beach in Jamaica when we were shooting the video for it." With that being said, be on the lookout for the video for "You" which will be dropping soon. The video for the song was filmed in Jamaica by award winning director Ras Kassa, recognized for his work with Sean Paul, Beenie Man, Damian Marley and Willie Nelson.

Following the release of their first single as a group, "Roc Raida Tribute," Fat Beats super group Trinity has released a new video with exclusive footage of the late great DJ Roc Raida along with studio clips of the trifecta in the studio recording their infectious tribute to one of hip-hop's most highly regarded DJ's.

The buzz has been swelling since the announcement of the group consisting of emcees AG, Sadat X, and Fat Beats owner DJ Jab on the boards. Their recent debut single has been hitting numerous blogs and websites all across the Internet so it's only fitting for the group to release a video to accompany the song. The video is sure to stir feelings of nostalgia as it starts off with clips from the '95 Technics World DJ Championship where Raida proudly proclaims, "We bringin' it back to the USA!"

What follows is in-studio footage of the group recording their tribute alongside clips of Roc Raida at work on the ones and twos. Raida makes it look too easy as he showcases his undeniable talent. Raida effortlessly scratches between two records, even backwards, not even breaking a sweat in the process. He even goes as far as manipulating the fader with his nose to much fanfare in the video. The video no doubt proves that hip-hop lost a great talent in Roc Raida, but with groups like Trinity showing love and support, his memory will not be forgotten.

Born in Cupey, Puerto Rico of Cuban Father and Puerto Rican mother, the MC, writer and producer popularly known as Yeyo, is setting his mark in the world while creating the very best of Latin hip hop. His innate talent for creating rhymes was discovered at the age of 9 when he started writing poetry. At 13 years old, he bought his first set of turntables and quickly started making mix tapes.

That's when the vision of blending his words with beats gave birth to the passion for rapping. Since then, he's been doing music. His poems are inspired and derived from his experiences growing up in the turbulent streets of Cupey, PR. Yeyo was the founder and one of three members of one of the first Puerto Rican hip hop groups The Shanghai Assassinz. In 1999, he made history with the production and release of the groups first single Viequez. The song was inspired and dedicated to the struggle that existed between Puerto Rico and the US Navy over military controlled land. In 2001 he produced and recorded the theme song for the award winning Puerto Rican movie 12 Horas. The need for taking his craft to another level made him move to Miami in 2003 where he studied Audio Engineering.

In 2004 Yeyo masterminded La Conekta, a hip hop mix tape that united the best Latino MCs from around the globe. 2005 was a life changing year, he started his company The Art of Sound Group Inc. and built a recording facility where he is producing and recording new and established artists under his imprint. In that same year he signed a Deal with Epic records for his group **The DEY** along with his partners Divine and Elan and also penned a publishing deal with Sony/ATV. In 2007 he appeared along with his group **The DEY** in the World Wide Pop Smash "Walk Away" with Paula DeAnda which got him a '08 ASCAP award for most played Pop record of 2007.

In 2008 he toured across the United States and Asia with **The DEY**, was the first Puerto Rican to be put on MTV's Times Square Studios Billboards, appeared in Locos por Juana's single/video "Tu sabes muy bien (La Nalga)" which earned him a '09 Grammy nomination along with the Locos Crew, won an ASCAP Award, was on billboards all across the US, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Phillipines, Singapore,Vietnam, was part of the first pop music show in the history of Vietnam, performed in a Mother's Day Special for NBC, performed on Showtime at the Apollo, Sabado Gigante, Despierta America, Escandalo TV, MiTRL, , performed at Sean Kingstons Sweet 18 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, Lord have Mercy!!!! worked with Timbaland, Stargate, Swizz Beats, Trackmasters, JR. Rotem, Akon, Fernando Garibai, amongst others.

If it wasn't enough, along with his team of producers, he did the official 15 year anniversary of the Macarena with Los del Rio and placed Dead Prez' street single "Pollitrikkks" off of their highly anticipated new album. His mission is to share his gifts and experiences with the world through his music. However some of you may NOT (fair enough) but truth be told when you've been in this business for a period of time you can just sit back, watch and listen and things or fake people will reveal themselves. The business is like those fake friends we all had who lived in our hood or who grew up with us that pretended to be our friend meanwhile was jealous but never spoke up. ( Bet you just thought of a couple people didn't you lol) Well this brings me to my point and is funny because a good 80% of the people you meet in the entertainment industry or in life will have a hidden agenda. (Real Talk) That's why you hear the phrase real friends are like diamonds. Now for some of you who haven't gotten it yet let me explain and me tell you why I just compared the industry to a fake friend. A real friend will NOT always agree with you but will always look out what's best for you and have your back. A fake friend will wither the very first sign of turbulence or will be like that's messed up when you inform them on some bad news or will change the subject or if he/she can't get what they want from you you won't hear from them unless they want something.

That's sort of how this industry works!!!!! When it feels that it has gotten it's use from you or feel you "CAN'T" produce no more it will change on you like the Day turns to Night! Prime examples Chris Brown, Micheal Jackson, Lauren Hill and the list goes on & on. Did you Ever wonder why most entertainers start their tours "OVERSEAS".(SEE HERE) Why? because they are "LOYAL" fans case and point Micheal Jackson would still have been alive if he NEVER came back to the good old USA! Who persecuted that man even after he died yet hypocritcaly gave him awards and sung kumbaya at his funeral (That pissed me off something terrible) Hell we even do the same thing to those who went on the front line for us like so many of our soldiers who fought for this country and risk their lives only to come back to the good old USA and become homeless see "here"(What Tha Tha F@ck?) (see here) ( I know it made a good story that seems to be the mold these days but dayumzzz) Then immediately after her show the Imus situation occurred and "HIP HOP" was on trail and every song that ever said the word hoe was held accountable and even great MC's like Common Sense (see here) wow her team is good you can no loger find the videos, Nas and others who make good music and are some of the few artists who actually speak about the struggle became on trail.

It's a dayum shame that reformed criminals like Tookie Willaims was fried in the electric chair yet people others like Al Capone, Jeffery Dalmer was glorified & even given endorsements book deals and made famous while they never had ANY REMORSE NOR REGRETS FOR THEIR ACTIONS given FAME.
