Tavon DyerI know we all like free stuff, but the reality is, we can't always have it like that. I know my budget is not super crazy right now so I as an artist am not eager to do every pay to play joints some promoters offer. I know it a business and people have to get paid for services but I just do my research and choose wisely. I also have surronded myself with a team that is way more well versed in the networking realm than I am which has been very beneficial to me in weeding out obvious people I need to avoid.
You did the right thing here though Bro, if dude tried to get something for nothing and it didn't work out for him, he needs to just keep it moving. People just lack Plain Ole People skills, let alone they have absolutely zero business savvy. Your attitude and genuiness will definitely work in peoples favor, even if a price has to be discussed, it may not be as high as it normally would be or whatever. Keep doing your thing Man. Cool Vibez Thank you Tay at the end of the day I provide a quality service and in return I am compensated for my time and efforts they don't go to Guitar Center and ask for a MPC for free so why ask me? I'm not a franchise and I got mouths to feed also I'm am a veteran and paid my dues and worked with and for some of the best and this is America and NOT a dictatorship I do as I please I will work with a person within reason and just look at it this way if you don't work for free ....why should I?
