Who would have thought?! Easter and Star Wars?! Even though this particular weekend of Easter is reserved for Easter Eggs, Easter the Bunny and the resurrection of Jesus...on this blog I regret to inform you I just used that to lure in...GOT YA! This weekend was also Star Wars Celebration weekend. RIP to Princess Leia actor Carrie Fisher. Disney and LucasFilm held the event celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the movie that started the whole franchise, Star Wars: Episode 4: New Hope in Orlando, Florida. This years event payed tribute to the late Carrie Fisher mostly known to world as the actress who played Princess Leia, we got the first release of the teaser trailer Star Wars: Episode 8: The Last Jedi starring Daisy Ridley, Jon Boyega, Adam Driver, Mark Hamill, Oscar Issacs and the late great Carrie Fisher, and today the release of Star Wars: Battlefront 2 by Dice (who remade the popular game series last year).



2015's the Force Unleashed left us with a cliffhanger as Rey finds Luke Skywalker and how will the First Order reliate after loosing Starkiller base to the Leia's Resistance...

Today at the Celebration weekend, DICE games hot off of the success of their reboot of video games Star Wars Battlefront released a trailer for Battlefront 2. The first Battlefront released by DICE in conjunction with the new books, The Force Awakens and new Star Wars Marvel comics which are redefining the Star Wars canon had DLC (Downloadable content) which chronicled the last battle between the Rebels/New Republic and the Empire on the dessert planet featured in Force Awakens, Jakku. Battlefront 2 will also have content of the formation of the Force Awaken's the First Order as Imperial Special Forces come to assist the Empire still fighting the Rebels on Endor witness the destruction of the second Death Star in Return of the Jedi.
