What's going on?! It's your dude Wayne Royale. I finally got a chance to go to a Comiccon with my partner in crime, Cool V this past weekend in Virginia Beach at the VA Beach convention center. For years ever since a kid, I've heard of the San Diego Comiccon which has grown since it's start in 1970 to now where it's not only an event where you see cosplayers, Q&A panel interviews with movie & TV stars, and exclusive movie trailer showings of your favorite action, sci-fi & comic book movie smash hits such as Dark Knight Trilogy, Disney/Marvel Movies (i.e. Avengers & Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant Man, Star Wars Episode 7 & etc).
If you never heard of this San Diego Comiccon or it's east coast version, the New York Comiccon then let me brief you on both before I talk about my experience of the Tidewater Comiccon.
San Diego Comic-Con International is a multigenre entertainment and comic convention held annually in San Diego, California. It was founded as the Golden State Comic Book Convention in 1970 by a group of San Diegans, which included Shel Dorf, Richard Alf, Ken Krueger, and Mike Towry; later, it was called the "San Diego Comic Book Convention." The name, as given on its website, is Comic-Con International: San Diego; but it is commonly known simply as Comic-Con or the San Diego Comic-Con or "SDCC." It is a four-day event (Thursday-Sunday) held during the summer at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California. On the Wednesday evening prior to the official opening of the event, there is a preview for professionals, exhibitors, and select guests pre-registered for all four days...READ MORE HERE

Now, that you're hopefully up to speed on that. This event from what I gather is the second Comiccon for the Hampton Roads Virginia Beach area which was established last year in 2014. This year's event featured some pretty good guests, SyFy Network's hit television show, Being Human cast Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath, & Sam Huntington, Scorpian King/X-Men 2/Arrow actress Kelly Hu, & Heroes of Cosplay cast member Chloe Dykstra. The classic 70's Batmobile was on display for audience members to take pics of & take pics in, they had several guest artists such as Chad Hardin- artist for DC Comic's the New 52 Harley Quinn series, Fabian Nicieza- most notable artist who drew Marvel's New Mutants & X-Force, Kevin Maguire- artist for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy, artist Jerry Gaylord, artist Jeff Hewitt, artist Matt Slay, David (D.Clarence)Snyder- writer of the Tick comic book & also memorably for myself & Cool V we met artist, founder & creator Jabaar L. Brown of Undergrond Comixxx & Revolution Comics Magazine which series Soul & The Protectors of Sector 5 which has actors like Wesley Snipes & Michael Jai White both taking interest & being featured as characters in the comic series.
We definitely had a blast at the Tidewater Comiccon & will be looking forward to the next one. Check out this link HERE for more pics of the events.
