 THE 422 ON RASHAD MORGAN:

Detroit-based crooner, songwriter, and producer Rashad (born Rashad Morgan) fell in love with the Motown sound at an early age. School talent shows came first, then came the church choir, an active choir that would often leave its west-side base for public performances downtown. It was at one of these performances that Rashad was discovered by former New Edition and Bell Biv DeVoe member Michael Bivins, who was launching his own label. A 14-year-old Rashad would make his debut as Ray Ray on the 1999 album Michael Bivins Presents the Adventures of the Biv 10 Pee-Wee All-Stars. Seeing that Rashad can stand alone as a solo artist, his family decided to move forward in that direction.

Rashad finished high school and went on to study music at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. It was there he was granted access to a recording studio. Fascinated by the process of recording and producing music, Rashad spent most of his time in the studio. He realize his talent was being in the music industry and back to Detroit to pursue his career. From 2003 to 2005 he worked on a bunch of projects including a gig with the Big Ticket Music Group, owned by Atlanta Falcons running back Warrick Dunn. While most of these projects was more than learning experiences, a relationship with Detroit production duo Sicknotes became much more. They introduced Rashad to management and released his 1st album “People Call Me Ray Ray” in September of 2005 that sold over 20,000 units independently. A copy landed in the hands of Grand Hustle Entertainment -- home to Southern rap star T.I.

Rashad was in Atlanta, writing and recording his Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records debut. The first single, the smooth "Tell 'Em What They Wanna Hear," became a huge hit on Detroit radio stations as well as the mid west landing on Chicago radio stations, when it was released in May of 2006 off of his independent. Now for the past 4 years, Rashad has been recording making over 400 songs that he knows that the world is ready to hear. To keep his fans happy Rashad dropped his well awaited mixtape entitled “Special Delivery” in early 2010. Now his fans are still wanting more so under new management with Madd Money Entertainment & Wideopen Management Rashad will be dropping another highly anticipated mixtape entitled “Return Of Rashad Morgan”(Where I Left Off) on September 30th, 2011 for free for the world to explore what’s to come for his debut sophomore Album to drop on a National level in fall 2012. His is making major waves with his hit new single "Keep It 100" featuring Jazze Pha along with the video that has been submitted to BET, MTV 1 & 2, FUSE, VH1, CMT & all the major video outlets across the globe. Radio stations are already adding him to mixshow such as WJLB FM98 in Detroit & Radio One Hot 102.7FM just to name a few. DJs are supporting this single in clubs all over. Look out for him…..because he is coming strong….The World better be ready for what’s about to come….Rashad Morgan….R&B Sensation…
