REAL TALK - ARTISTS "REVOLUTIONARY KIDS" WROTE DEEP ARTICLE ON "GLOBAL GRIND" DISCUSSING THE IGNORANCE IN TODAYS GENERATION & DUMIFICATION OF "HIP HOP" CALLED "IS AMERICA'S YOUTH GETTING DUMBER?" (*THIS IS A MUST READ!*)
"EXHIBIT A "THE PROOF!"
WHAT'S CRACKING PEOPLE!
If the article in "Global Grin" wasn't deja-ve because I just spoke to my boy "Wayne Royale" about this and I was also just on the phone a few days ago talking to "Roxanne Shante" a Hip-Hop vet about the same thing. She discussed how we are being depicted in Hip Hop today and how she grew up at the age of 14 working in a shoot-up house (Crack House) giving shots to the crack heads with needles so she was making money before she entered the rap game. She also talked about how she was always seeking a better life for herself and some of the poor choices she made and how these bad decisions at an early age effected her life and the many hardships she went threw because of them. So now she dedicates a lot of her time helping other young women and warning them NOT make the same mistakes!
I have also have spoken to countless others in the past about this same topic from Pac to Biggie even Biggie Smalls was evolving from that mind state shown in one of his last videos where he even states " I can't talk about being broke or the same topics because I'm NOT broke no more! So I can't talk about that and not feeding into ignorance how it can escalate into nothing but drama."
"Biggie Discusses why he didn't talk about the same topics as he did on his 1st album"
I have even spoke to countless Dj's who are tired of the same ol story to DJ's such as "Mary Nicholes" from "Black Radio is Back" & "Fuse Box Radio" also Radio station managers and owners such as "Masha Polk" GM/1DOTFMJAMZ, "Africah Allah" CEO/ DIRADIO CAST to Sway & Tech "MTV /"Wake Up Show", "Dew Kelly & GS " Lord Gang DJ's, "Latin Prince CEO/Bum Squad DJ's My PNC & veteran "DJ King Assassin" (2 Pac's DJ) , Fleet DJ's, Future Star DJs, Princess Lopez of NEX Radio, Wayne Royale "Mixxcity Radio" to the creator of the 1st mix-tape awards show R.I.P the late great "Justo Faizon" himself and countless others.
Hip Hop have always been the target of controversy since its conception but we always had artists in the limelight who wrote lyrics so deep and thought provoking even college professors could not deny its artistic value and educational value so much in fact they created college courses to express this at NYU (See Here) & Howard University (See Here) to study them. But what can we say about some (NOT ALL) of the lyrics when studying in Hip Hop today . Just think about it we went from "Think About It" to "Self Destruction" to now "Oh Let's Do It" or the "Stanky Leg" some of today's Hip Hop artists have made us an easy target for critics who think Hip Hop promotes only negativity and ignorance like Bill O Reily and countless others. The sad thing is there are plenty of amazing artists who have thought provoking lyrics like J Cole, Wiz Kahlifah, Bad Seed, Richie Sosa, R.A.P.P Quelle, Dead Pres, Jay Electronica, Ameer, Ghost Wrider, Cory Gunz, Jay Rock, Diggy Simmons, Kendred Lemar, Beedie Mac Miller, or Rain and many others who get overlooked because of the stand they have taken for Hip Hop. A reflection of our mental status and the negative impact that some of this music is causing just see www.worldstarhiphop.com and see why it's time for a change or just go to your local hood and open your eyes!
KRS1 THE TEACHER ADDRESSES THIS IN 2002 SINGLE "PROBLEMZ"
"LUPE FIASCO - 'BUMB IT DOWN"
When did this dummication of Hip Hop start? I 'd have to say when when Hip Hop married the south some artists lost sight of lyrical content and the true essence of Hip Hop Freestyling B-Boying etc.. Now before you jump to conclusions I am NOT saying all ignorance came from the south lord knows we played our part but a lot of the artists from the south came with dumb down lyrics. Now on the other hand there have also been alot of hot artists from the south that still stood for the same creativity Hip Hop emerged with such as Outcast, UGK, Little Brother etc... There has been enough debates contesting this fact and one of the biggest and more famous debates I remember was between "Monie Love" and "Young Jeezy" (See Here) Which I agreed with her 100%! (Sorry Jeezy!)
"It's a shame" (ironic choice of word's huh lol see monie) that so many have fought so hard for Hip Hop to become mainstream and now that we have achieved such status how our pioneers are repaid? (It's Like The Rosa Park Syndrome) She fought for us to sit in the front so that most of us can go straight to the back! Now don't get me wrong I am NOT saying that every lyric you make has to be on a preachy topic or educational but "Can You At Least Show Some Diversity?" Now NOT all the artist like I said fall in this category nor is it their fault. Because in this process behind the scenes corporate politics play a major role on what you see. It's up to the consumer not to feed into negative cycle however it is NO coincidence that our youth in America is being targeted "Truth Be Told" it's business because the dumber the consumer is the easier the sale! This thinking has also led to many stupid decisions that the U.S have made because if you dumb a person down they are more gullible and accepting to BS they become. (See Here) & (Here.
Now I am not gonna front I actually like some of Waka Flockas songs (mostly the beat because can't understand 1/2 the lyrics) as I do Lil John, Luke & Lil Wayne and they should NOT be depicted as the spokespersosn for African American race just artists these young individuals are artists from the hood following their dream (Which I would rather see than them actually busing shots in the streets any day!) However we have to stop glorifying ignorance! Its okay to dance and have fun but when that becomes a way of life and people who come from nice homes are thinking living in the projects is cool and dumming down their education and status quo something is VERY WRONG WITH THAT! It should be just as cool to read a book and go to school. While Hip Hop plays a major role in this it is NOT the only accomplice so have Heavy Metal, Dance and other forms of music without receiving the same notoriety (hmmmm). Any-who, If this isn't a wake up call for Hip Hop I don't know what is! I have discussed this topic also with YZ, Hakeem (Channel Live), G.S (Lord Gang Djs) and my partner "DJ Fathom" CEO Underwire Magazine and Tapwire Magazine on numerous occasions and in conclusion "People we have GOT TO DO BETTER!"
It's like Nelly stated on an interview with Albie C.E.O/Cheddar DVD "I worked my way out of the hood and people nowadays are working their way trying to get into the hood, When is success and doing better NOT A GOOD THING?" I have to agree with him 100% because I see so many cats who are hustling for a pair of "Air Jordans" and trying to make a career out of hustling WDF? This is crazy haven't the movie Juice, Scarface or New Jack City thought you ANYTHING? Hell if you don't remember those than check out "Brooklyns Finest" some real talk in which the movie shows you hustling and quick money from the streets leads to a dead end street.
It's crazy how dumb we are becoming as Americans compared to other countries its scary the education level of the US vs China or Japan or Canada. Are we are really becoming stupider by the minute? You would think with an intellectual president like Obama vs George Bush we would be headed towards progress instead we are digressing even faster and its like watching a rerun of of the movie"Dumb & Dumber"! It's time we use our heads being stupid has cost countless lives with this war as well as our economy and may cost our future! We need to wake up and smell the coffee because it's not looking so good right now and that's "Real Talk"

REAL TALK - THE TRUTH BEHIND THESE RELIGIOUS SCANDELS NEWEST TOPIC "EDDIE LONG" (HE HAS TO EARN THAT TITLE FOR ME!)
Whats Crack'n People!
1st I would like to say I am NOT about to judge nor condemn "Eddie Long" because for me titles of GOD is something earned not man given. I am tired of false prophets and people trying to make GOD look bad or making a mockery of religion. It was created to teach us to use our moral compass and to strengthen our faith. It was created for hatred, racism or to be misused the way most of these quote on quote religious characters are utilizing it for!
These people should be ashamed of themselves but one day will answer to a higher power and not I. Meanwhile I'll just pray GOD has mercy on their souls! I for one believe there's a GOD and have experienced situations that I know something out there was watching over me! It's also the feeling I get when I feel something evil or do something wrong. God has built us each a moral compass it's just that some of us chose to ignore it.
He doesn't do these things WE DO!!!!!! We also allow people to claim his name and misuse his brand! It's just like upholding a job title with a company for example: You cannot be a school teacher and a stripper! (Why? conflict of interest!) the same applies if your doing wrong wearing a robe claiming to be a pastor, evangelist, missionary etc.. these are all high titles in the ranking of GODs army.
So to be clear I think we have swept bs under the wrong for to long and I have heard countless individuals who have been abused and misused due to someone in a higher position misusing his or her trust. (Shame On You!) But its even worse when you carry a title of GOD because it goes against "EVERYTHING" your supposed to stand for!
Why do these people do these things? .......Simple "BECAUSE WE LET THEM!" and don't hold them accountable. We like to reflect and remember all the good things they do and dispel and other actions because we want to believe the good in these people and that positive trumps negative. But the truth of the matter is that's just some cases! The Bible says "You will know a tree by the fruit it bears" which simple means judge people by their actions NOT WHAT THEY SAY!!!!!!
We overlooked the problems of Ray Charles, Ike Turner, Micheal Jackson, R Kelly & OJ Simpson and countless others when all these individuals needed some serious counseling. They are ONLY HUMAN PEOPLE! It's time we start dealing with our issues instead of making more issues because contrary to what you or I believe how many issues can we keep containing or locking in a closet or sweeping under a rug before "SOMETHING BUSTS" just some "Real Talk" and here's some food for thought have a great week people and I'll continue to pray for him & the victims or alleged victims because this is more serious than just a news story this is lives and future generations! (Think About It!)
COOL V PRESENTS - SLEPT ON MUST SEE MOVIES "THESE ARE HOT PICS & CHEAP FLICKS)
After an increasing number of his clients fail to make good on their payments, Mr Thigo (Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson) decides to take matters into his own hands, travelling to London to make an example of debtor Nick (Tamer Hassan). Thigo gives Nick just 24 hours to pay back the £100,000 he owes him - and, just to make sure, holds Nick's wheelchair-using mother (Brenda Blethyn) as a hostage. Since Nick is already financially challenged, he's going to have to use his imagination to come up with the money. Starring Tamer Hassan as Nick, Danny Dyer as Bing, 50 Cent as Thigo, Brenda Blethyn as Mother and Monet Mazur as Frankie. This story goes hard in the tradition of movies like "Crank" with a similar plot. Its a story of power and betrayal and is full of action and life lessons in trust. A must see I must say I was very surprised I copped it from RedBox expecting the worse and got the best! I give this an official whistle (In layman's terms 2 thumbs up
In the early 1990s, a tractor mechanic nicknamed Steelhead (Jackie Chan) entered Japan illegally from China in search of his fiancée, Xiu-Xiu (Xu Jinglei) with the help of his "brother" Jie (Daniel Wu). Jie had shown Steelhead how to make a living by showing him trades of the underworld. One day, while illegally working as part of a clean-up crew in the sewers, Steelhead and his Chinese comrades were caught by the police. Not willing to be caught, Steelhead and others ran for their lives. Detective Kitano nearly drowned, but was saved by Steelhead; Kitano felt a life-debt to Steelhead and never pursued him. One night, while working in a restaurant with Jie, Steelhead found Xiu-Xiu with Yakuza leader Eguchi (Masaya Kato). Saddened by seeing his fiancée with another man, he spent the night with Jie drinking and partying with hookers. Once sober, Steelhead decided to become a legal citizen of Japan by any means possible. Steelhead and his Chinese friends then went on an aggressive money laundering operation, but left Jie out of it due to his kind hearted nature. Unfortunately, Taiwanese triad leader, Gao (Jack Kao), discovered one of his pachinko machines had been tampered with (fixed by Steelhead's group) and vowed to punish the culprit.
Jie was caught playing the tampered pachinko machine and was taken to a dark alleyway where Gao sliced Jie's face and cut off his right hand for information. Upon learning Jie's fate, Steelhead sneaked and hidden inside Gao's establishment to take revenge, but instead learned of the plot to kill Eguchi between the Togawa group (rival "allies") and Gao. Gao failed to kill Eguchi; Steelhead saved Eguchi by chopping off Gao's arm with his machete and two ran for their lives. The two successfully escaped pursuit and Steelhead was welcomed to the Eguchi estate to recover. Steelhead would have the chance to catch up with Xiu-Xiu (as an old acquaintance of the same village) as Eguchi gave them a moment to speak to each other. Steelhead learned that Eguchi and Xiu-Xiu have a little girl, Ayako. Xiu-Xiu told Steelhead her name is Yuko Eguchi now and that she was happy with her new life. Eguchi returned and offered Steelhead a high paying job, but he refused. Later, Eguchi tried unsuccessfully to expose Togawa for the attempted assassination, but their boss made Eguchi apologize for the accusations instead. Eguchi then asked Steelhead to be a hitman. Steelhead agreed, under two conditions: he'll take control of Gao's territories and legally become a citizen of Japan. Steelhead killed all of his targets, which resulted a gang war within the Yakuza ranks; Steelhead and Eguchi got what they wanted. Eguchi was promoted after Togawa and Steelhead became a vassal under Eguchi with Gao's territories. Steelhead did everything to make a better life for his Chinese brothers, but had no interest in the daily operations of Yakuza activity. He left all the daily operations to his brothers as he started a successful tractor business.
Some time later, Detective Kitano met with Steelhead and warned him that all of his brothers have become corrupted. Kitano told Steelhead that he would be arrested along with his friends, with him charged as the head conspirator. Steelhead made a deal with Kitano: Steelhead would find evidence to have Eguchi arrested in exchange for his comrades' freedom. That fateful night, Steelhead and Kitano returned to the vassal HQ to warn his comrades about their impending arrest if they didn't stop their operation and was met with furious opposition. His brothers violently refused to give up their rich lives they made with the Yakuza. Eguchi arrived just as Steelhead was stabbed by one of his friends. Meanwhile, the Yakuza couldn't tolerate Eguchi's leadership anymore. Gao, Nakajima (Eguchi's former subordinate), and Togawa's son agreed to take Eguchi down the same night. Waves of Yakuza stormed into the building and proceeded to kill everyone, leaving only Eguchi, Steelhead, and Kitano to survive the onslaught. Mortally wounded, Eguchi gave Steelhead a flash drive that contained data on Yakuza operations.
As Kitano and Steelhead escaped out of the building, the cops arrived and began arresting the Yakuza. Steelhead called Yuko to meet in Okobu station, along with Ayaka, but Togawa had already taken Ayako hostage and told him where Steelhead was. Nakajima intercepted Steelhead; the police arrived in time for a shootout. Kitano managed to kill Nakajima, but Steelhead suffered a bullet wound and fled into the sewers. Kitano found Steelhead being swept away by sewage currents and tried to pull him out, but Steelhead told him it was useless. Steelhead gave the flash drive to Kitano before the current swept his body away, while remembering how happy it was when he was with his comrades in simpler times.
This Movie was The Asian Version Of New Jack City In the tradition of Scarface this movie was excellent and recieves "Cool V" Official Whistle (2 Thumbs Up!) another RedBox Cop!

The
clip was slated to run during "Sesame Street's" upcoming season but has
now been pulled due to protests from parents who found Perry's outfit
to be too provocative. "We use parodies and celebrity segments to
interest adults in the show...We also value our viewer's opinions and
particularly those of parents," Sesame Workshop said in a statement.
"In light of the feedback we've received on the Katy Perry music video
which was released on YouTube only, we have decided we will not air the
segment on the television broadcast of 'Sesame Street,' which is aimed
