Once again it’s that time of year to open our hearts to the less fortunate. This year marks Ballyhoo PR’s 10th Annual Feed the Community Drive. Over the years with the help of our celebrity clients, the city officials and donation’s from the public and private sectors, we have been blessed to feed more than 5000 families. In 2007 and 2008, with the assistance of then County Supervisor Yvonne Braithwaite-Burke, and Universal Recording artist Glasses Malone, we distributed over 300 turkeys to the Imperial Courts housing projects. This year we are partnering with Get Your Green Up recording artist Roccett, Our People Barber Shop and the city of Carson to continue the spirit of giving. It is our goal to feed at least 300 families this year. City funds are low so we are counting on the community to come together to help with donations. We are requesting a Turkeys, box and can food goods to be distributed to families who are unable to buy food for the holidays. All cash contributions will go toward buying turkeys for low income families with children. Grocery stores including Albertson’s, Stater Bros. Food 4 Less and Ralph’s have been very generous in their donations but we still need more.
